Remove and reinstall four wheels and rear brake drums to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. – Technician test drove vehicle and found brake pedal is soft, inspected further and found front rotors have excessive rust not allowing pads to make complete contact with rotors – The backing of the pad is springy causing the piston to return too far creating a soft pedal. RECOMMEND REPLACING FRONT PADS AND ROTORS – If soft pedal persists recommend replacing calipers – Rear pads are 5/32 – 6/32 – good
Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures.
Replace front brake pad linings and rotors. Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Check and fill brake fluid. Bleed air from system. Road test vehicle.
